What is 6G?
6G is the next generation for internet speed as it uses smaller but faster waves. It will be so much faster than 5G as it stands. Only a few companies are working on it which includes Samsung. It is said to be 50-100x faster than 5G.
Tech experts around the globe wonder how they might be able to implement 6G into cities and countries. It is because 6G uses a different kind of radio waves.
What is a Radio wave?
A radio wave is a type of electromagnetic radiation best known for its use in communication via phones, computers, and radios. Devices that use radio waves transform the radio waves into vibrations, which are then converted to sounds by the speaker.
Though 6G is faster than 5G, it will most likely have a smaller radius. the radio waves will probably be shorter for it to be faster and more responsive. It is said that with 6G, you might be able to control a robotic arm with almost no delay. but as it stands, it will not be available to the public. Imagine this: wearing glasses that merge VR (Virtual Reality) with the real world with no delay or downloading an hour of Netflix in a second. Just amazing!
The Downside of a 6G
Although it’s super reliable and fast, it does come with a downside. People will probably need multiple 6G sources in one house. Why? Its radio wave can easily be blocked by a wall because to have a faster radio wave, you need smaller waves. However, these hiccups are still subject to being solved. We’ll have to wait and see what comes out.
Experts say it will be available to the public in the year 2030. One thing’s for sure, the 6G network is designed for the next generation of technology, it is something that everybody is looking forward to.
