5 Things I Love About Canva

You may be surprised but my background is nowhere near computers. In fact, it’s the last thing on my mind and here I am working online and blogging. Life has a funny way of having things work out for you. Since I am managing social media pages and creating content, it is inevitable that I create images. Photoshop is my first option but it’s too technical for me. So, then, I researched and stumbled into Canva. It has worked wonders for me ever since. Now, I don’t even know what to do without it.

Here are the things I love about Canva.

  • It’s FREE – This is what we all wanted. It’s FREE for a lifetime. You only get to pay the premium if you want to avail of its full functionality. But, if you are only using it to create images and have some stock photos of your own, go ahead and use this.

  • Drag and drop – Canva uses drag and drop to create images. No worries thinking endlessly of inspirations. It has templates you can choose from.

  • A wide variety of templates – This is, by far, the best feature of Canva. There are so many templates to choose from. You’ll have templates for Real Estate, Social Media, Quotes, Sales, Travel, and so much more.

  • Various Image Sizes – You do not need to manually find out the sizes of the images you are making. It provides you with a selection of graphics you want to make. This includes social media, banners, posters, Facebook covers, Instagram, Pinterest covers, Twitter headers, book covers to name some. Technically, you name it, Canva has it.

  • Custom Dimensions – If you would like to create an image that has a specific dimension, you can always select custom dimensions and voila! you have the size you need.

These are only some of the great things you can do with Canva. A new feature that it is launching is the Canva for Work. This feature will allow you to access thousands of images free of royalty, branding and create a team to work on design projects. This, however, will require you to upgrade to a plan. But you can take a sneak peek on what it has to offer because there is a 30-day free trial. You can cancel anytime. And if you love, Canva offers a monthly plan of $12.95/month or $9.95/year billed annually.
