Important Pricing Update from Upwork 2019 Freelancing

Upwork has always maintained its position as one of the most trusted freelancing platforms with millions of freelancers and clients. I am a freelancer and an agency owner for quite some time. Today, I received an important pricing update from Upwork. The pricing will affect the new freelancers. It is both good and bad for individuals who are just starting to find work in Upwork.

Here are the notable updates:

There are no free connects for agency and freelancers. (Connects are need every time you send a proposal to the client.)
Connects are only free for invitations you receive from the clients.
Connect will cost $0.15 each.

This would mean that to be able to be an Upwork freelancer, newbies and old freelancers are required to purchase connects so that they will be able to submit proposals. What do you think of this change?
